Wordbnd - Google and Android have just launched the latest operating system (OS). Google with Android 10 and Apple with iOS 13.
But Google has constraints in using Android 10. Apple said iOS 13 users have reached 50% of devices that are compatible with this new OS. This adaptation is quite fast because it was only launched on 19 September 2019.
Others, Apple allows the use of iOS 13 on iPhone 6s and above or devices that have been relaunched since September 2015.
This is different from Android. When the latest version appears segmentation occurs. Android 10 when launched is only available on selected devices. For example all Pixel phones and Essential Phones.
Based on the Android dashboard distribution data, the most Android OS on mobile today is Marshmallow by 16.9% of the total 2.5 billion Android devices. Then Android Oreo 8.0 and 8.1 with 12.9% and 15.4%.
