Emirates Airlines Check-In Gates

WORDBND.COM - WordTravel. The UAE airline, Emirates, began replacing check-in kiosks with machines. This service can be enjoyed by a traveler when stopping in Dubai.

In its official broadcast, Wednesday (7/10/2020), Emirates introduced a self-service facility in the form of a check-in kiosk. Travelers can also submit independent baggage here.

The existence of this machine is in Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport. This kiosk check-in service is available for passengers traveling to any Emirates destination.

However, for destinations to the US, Canada, China, India, and Hong Kong, they still go through conventional kiosks because there are additional requirements from the destination countries.

There are 16 self-service baggage check-in kiosk machines and 8 new self-service kiosks that complement the check-in desks manned by Emirates agents. Its existence is to reduce customer waiting times during peak periods.

"Emirates will expand its self-service facilities in the coming months," they said.

These check-in kiosk machines allow customers to check-in, print boarding passes, select seats on the plane and hand over their baggage. However, Emirates staff is ready to help if needed.

The facility is fully self-serviced. The machines allow customers to go through the check-in and baggage delivery processes smoothly and head straight to immigration.

Facilities are cleaned and disinfected regularly. Hand sanitizer is also available for customers.

This new offering is part of Emirates' continued investment in products and services to provide an unmatched travel experience on land and in the air.

This solution was developed in-house at Emirates with Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects and Dubai Airports. Self-check-in kiosk machines will continue to be upgraded to offer new features in the future, including touchless service and allowing customers to reorder themselves.
